Card Swap Cards

Have to get tehse in the mail this week but had to post a picture first. Made these for a Halloween card swap on the Cardmaker magazine website. My first swap - hope everyone likes the cards.

Also made some digital pages that I need to post. I'll try to do that sometime tonight. Hopefully now that drill team is only 4 days a week (instead of 6) and the kids are back in school, I can have time to craft!

Suffering crafting withdrawls

This week marks the beginning of dril team season for my oldest daughter. What that means for me is less time to craft. Next week, we add school in the mix for all three kids. I love this time of year and will have a lot of inspiration...now to find time to craft it!

Will post more as I can but postings may slow down for the next few weeks.

some cute notecards

I made these cards for a lady I work with. She and her adult daughter started the tradition of sending each other cards once a week when her daughter went away to college. College is over but the tradition continues. I bring her a few cards now and then to put a little variety in things for her. She's tired of store bought cards.

A few more things I've made

I posted some recent cards I had made yesterday and decided that I would post a couple of other crafts and at least one scrapbook page today.

The picture on this one pretty much stinks but I made the page above for my brother for Father's Day. He has two beautiful daugthers and I know how much he loves them so this was a nice way for him to see how much they love him too.

I made these candy gifts just playing around one evening with some scraps. I had seen some candy decorated with the paper but thought that I had to find a way to package them that was different than just a plain box. For the ones above, I used the plastic packaging that some ribbon came in but I have decided to try the clear cellophane treat bags they sell for birthday parties and stuff - and maybe even printed ones if I'm using solid paper on the wrappers.

Cards, Cards and more Cards

Ok - so I've recently become addicted to making cards. I make them for no reason at all with the theory that I can always add a sentiment later or I can use them blank and send handwritten notes to friends. Here are some I've made. Thoughts and input is always a welcome thing!!!

On this one, I wanted to do something with patriotic colors but not necessarily the patritoic theme. So I decided to use the color scheme with some flowers and make it fun.

This one is just a small notecard done with a really girly paper. The ribbons and flowers are just little thing I like. Not sure why but I love flower clusters.

This one was inspired by a card in a book I bought a couple of weeks ago. I like the corset style lacing on the card but yet I'm not sure I like how the card turned out. Maybe with some richer colors.

Another notecard that my daughter is claiming to use as a birthday card for a friend. Bright colors and a little sparkle seem to work really well for the tween set.

Again - no use for this one yet but I was playing with some paper I had last night that I didn't think I could put into a scrapbook and this is what I came up with.

One More Thing...

I will be posting a lot of projects I've made with my Cricut on here as well. Currently, I have the following cartridges.
Plantin Schoolbook
Doodlecharms
Tags, Bags, Boxes and More
Fabulous Finds
Walk in My Garden
Stone Script
Graphically Speaking
Stretch Your Imagination

Sometimes I have access to cartridges I don't own (thanks to April who has LOTS more than I do) and will post those as well.

I will tag the blog posts with the name of the cartridge(s) used so that it will be easier to find projects that could be made with cartridges you already have if you like what I make.

Cardmaking

I'll be adding pictures later today but I've just started to delve into the world of cardmaking and I'm pretty impressed with the results. My niece's birthday card is the most unique card I've made yet (not a traditional "fold in half" type of card) and I'll post it later today. Will also post the series of note cards I've begun making. If anyone knows of any great cardmaking websites, let me know!!!!
